These simple “spacer clips” are used to take up excess side-to-side play at the brake pedal pivot. They are made from 0.030″ polypropylene.

The clip is installed between the stock plastic pedal arm bushings and the rounded steel plate that locates the pedals. On my car only the brake pedal had excessive side-to-side play and I could only fit 1 clip, but your situation might be different and (2) clips are included. Easy installation, they just slip in place.
